Undergraduate Program

The Department offers a five-year Bachelor of Law degree. All courses are divided into two stages.
Stage One “From the first to the third academic year with the academic focus on fundamental legal and financial training. Curriculum includes substantive and procedural laws in Civil and Criminal laws, Administrative law, Commercial law, Economics, Accounting, and Public Finance. This stage aims to help students to enhance their legal thinking with solid foundation in business. The Department also provides Anglo-American Law courses to fully prepare students for studying cases of British and American laws as well as competent foreign language proficiency”.

Stage Two “From the fourth to the fifth academic year with the academic focus on in-depth financial laws and technology-related laws”.

From the beginning of the fourth academic year, students may register in the specialized legal programs. These programs are Economic and Financial Law Specialization, Law and Technology Specialization, and Judicial Practices Specialization.

Requisites for each program are designed in accordance with respective professional objectives. Other than partial courses common to all programs, students may take elective courses at will within respective programs. A student who fulfills credit requirements of specialization programs will receive a certificate of specialization issued by the Department upon graduation.

Graduate Program

The Graduate Program aims to attract intellectually curious and thoughtful candidates from a variety of law graduates, legal systems and backgrounds and with various career plans.

Also, the courses we provide are diverse. In Group A, there is no uniform course of study is prescribed for graduates. Courses are elective, and students tailor their studies to their own interests. In Group B and C, due to the lack of legal profession, there are some mandatory courses need to be taken. Moreover, each graduate student is invited to use the resources of the Law School in whatever program of study will best prepare that individual for a career in research, teaching or bar exam.

The Master Program expanded into three programs, Program A, Program B, and Program C. Below is the Master Degree requirements:

1. Group A of Graduate Class: At least 30 credits are required for graduation, among which 6 credits shall be earned from mandatory core courses.

2. Group B of Graduate Class: At least 24 credits are required for graduation, among which 6 credits are mandatory core courses. Additionally, 57 credit from undergraduate courses are required, where 39 credits shall be earned from mandatory core courses and 18 credits from optional courses in laws.

3. Group C of Graduate Class (Master’s Continuing Education Program): Group C offers continuing education for people with or without LL.B. who aims to explore and pursue graduate studies. For the prospective student who holds LL. B., at least 24 credits are required for graduation, among which 24 credits shall be earned from mandatory core courses.

For those without LL.B., at least 45 credits are required for graduation, among which 27 credits shall be earned from mandatory core courses.

The diversity of the participants in the Graduate school contributes significantly to the educational experience of all students at the School. All of the three programs are subjects to extra 6 credits in thesis. Success in language examination is also required prior to graduation except for Master’s Continuing Education Program.
